The overall objective of World Tuberculosis Day is to raise awareness of prevention of tuberculosis around the world and to mobilize efforts in support of world TB Day .The Day provides an opportunity for all who are suffering from TB and who are at risk of TB and the other population about prevention and stop the TB worldwide. On day 23rd March, 2024, the students of 4th year B.Sc. Nursing and 3rd year G.N.M have celebrated World T.B. Day at Katargam Urban health centre. The function was Organized under the guidance of our respected Principal sir Mr. Kiran Domadia and Vice Principal Mr. Jimmy James Mogaria by coordinating faculties Ms. Mansi Patel, Ms. Poonam Tank and Ms. Harchita Tandel.
Welcoming and felicitation of: Dr. Parul Vadgama (Head of the Department of Respiratory Department), Mr. I.A.Kadiwala (GNC advisor ), staff nurses, administrative staff and other community health care team members. After that prayer was done by 3rd year G.N.M. student Ms. Nency Vadodaria. After carrying the program forward the theme opening done by guests and speech given by Dr. Parul vadgama about world TB day and spread awareness about to end TB. After the Mr. Kadiwala sir given Speech about the day and than Drama was done by 12 students of 3rd year GNM and 4th year B.Sc Nursing on topic of “How to End TB” . In which they have covered topics. Exhibition was done on Awareness of TB and its prevention by 22 posters by 4th year B.Sc, nursing, and 3rd year G.N.M. students.
In this program total 200 people have participated. This was huge crowd and we have aware people with different activities to prevent the TB. People have given very good response regarding the celebration and also staff members have appreciated a lot about all the activities.
Lastly, we have wind up the celebration by thanks giving ceremony.
