INTRODUCTION:
Children between the age of 5-17 years are school age children. The importance of health services to be provided to school children by 3rd Year GNM & 5th Sem.Basic Nursing students have organized school health programme in S.H.Lokhandwala School,Katargam, Surat. Under the Mentoring of Respected Principal Mr.Kiran Domadia sir of T. & T.V. Institute of Nursing & Mr. Jimmy James Mogaria,sir Vice Principal of T. & T.V. Institute of Nursing, Surat. and Co-ordinator was Ms. Bhumika Chaudhari and assisted by Ms. Jagruti Patel and Ms. Bhumika Parmar.
OBJECTIVES:
To perform health screening of school children
To detect any abnormality at its early stage
To bring health awareness in schoolchildren
To encourage children to adapt healthy health habits.
To Inculcate positive changes to improve positive health among school children
ACTIVITIES:
3rd year GNM and 5th Sem. Basic B.Sc (N) Students have performed anthropometric measurement of school children and calculated BMI of children. They also have under taken health screening of students. Total 150 school children were examined. 4 cases of delayed growth,48 case of underweight students, 20 case of over weight and 78 children are having normal weight.

CONCLUSION:
School health services are essential part need to be look after to improve health status of school children. Abnormal cases were referred to near health centers. School teachers have been made aware about the findings of health screening. School teachers were also made aware about how to maintain records of health status of children. Exhibition also found effective to bring health related awareness in school children.
