Introduction
In alignment with the global commitment towards environmental sustainability and eco-conscious living, T. & T.V. Institute of Nursing successfully organized a Green Initiative Celebration on 22nd December within the institute premises. The program aimed to inculcate environmental responsibility among students and staff through creative, intellectual, and participatory activities focused on sustainability, conservation, and green practices.
The celebration witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various batches and houses, reflecting the institute’s strong commitment to promoting environmental awareness and responsible citizenship among future healthcare professionals.
Objectives of the Program
- To sensitize students towards environmental conservation and sustainable practices
- To encourage creativity using eco-friendly and biodegradable materials
- To promote expression of ideas on green initiatives through speech, photography, and digital media
- To instill teamwork, innovation, and ecological responsibility among students
Activities Conducted
1. Speech Competition on Green Initiatives
A speech competition was organized to provide students a platform to voice their ideas, opinions, and solutions related to environmental protection and green initiatives. Participants spoke on topics such as sustainable development, climate change, waste management, and the role of healthcare professionals in environmental conservation.
The speeches were evaluated based on content, clarity, relevance, confidence, and impact. The competition resulted in a tie, showcasing the exceptional quality of presentations delivered.

2. Floor Decoration (Eco-Friendly Rangoli) Competition
A unique and innovative floor decoration competition was conducted using organic and earthy substances instead of synthetic colors. Students used materials such as:

- Natural leaves and grains
This activity emphasized creativity combined with sustainability and demonstrated how traditional art forms can be adapted to eco-friendly practices.

4. Reel Making Competition on Green Initiatives

Prize Distribution Ceremony
The Prize Distribution Ceremony marked the culmination of the Green Initiative Celebration. Prizes and certificates were awarded to the winners by the Principal and Heads of Departments, appreciating the efforts, creativity, and commitment of the participants.
The ceremony was gracefully anchored by Ms. Chelsea Parmar, who conducted the proceedings with confidence and professionalism, ensuring a smooth and engaging flow of the event.
