Introduction:
Anti-Ragging Day was celebrated on 12th August 2026 at T & TV Institute of Nursing, Surat with the objective of creating awareness among students regarding the harmful effects of ragging and promoting a safe, respectful, and supportive educational environment.
Objectives:
•To create awareness about anti-ragging policies and regulations.
•To educate students regarding the psychological and social consequences of ragging.
•To promote a culture of mutual respect, dignity, and cooperation among students.
•To encourage students to actively participate in ragging prevention initiatives.
Program Proceedings:
The programme commenced with a warm verbal welcome extended to all dignitaries, faculty members, and students.
A PowerPoint presentation on the theme of Anti-Ragging was delivered by Mr. Kapil Rajbhar, a student of B.Sc. Nursing, highlighting the meaning, forms, consequences, and preventive measures related to ragging.
Following the presentation, Ms. Tanvi Bhatia, Head of the Psychiatry Department, addressed the gathering and emphasized the importance of anti-ragging awareness, mental well-being of students, and the need for a supportive academic environment.
Prof. Kiran Domadia, Principal, delivered an informative speech on anti-ragging policies, legal provisions, and various prevention strategies to ensure a ragging-free campus.
To reinforce the message creatively, the 7th Semester B.Sc. Nursing students presented a thought-provoking drama depicting the adverse effects of ragging on students and society.
An Anti-Ragging Exhibition was also organized by the 7th Semester B.Sc. Nursing students. The exhibition showcased posters, charts, slogans, and educational materials highlighting the importance of preventing ragging and fostering a healthy learning atmosphere. A vote of thanks was delivered by Student Kavya Khetariya.
