INTRODUCTION
World No Tobacco Day is observed every year on 31st May to create awareness about the harmful effects of tobacco consumption and to encourage people to adopt a tobacco-free lifestyle. On this occasion, a special awareness program was organized at Singapore Health Centre with the active participation of health staff, guests, and 3rd Year GNM students.
OBJECTIVES
•To create awareness regarding the harmful effects of tobacco.
•To educate the community about tobacco-related diseases.
•To encourage tobacco cessation and healthy living.
•To involve students in community health education activities.
ACTIVITIES IN WORLD NO TOBACCO DAY CELEBRATION
Anchoring
The entire program was effectively conducted by Ms. Khushalee, who welcomed the guests and audience and coordinated all activities.
Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
The program was inaugurated through a ribbon-cutting ceremony by Dr. Jignesh Patel Sir and Mrs. Arpana Nandeshwar. The inauguration marked the beginning of the World No Tobacco Day Celebration.

Drama on “Say No Tobacco”
A powerful and informative drama was presented by the students to spread awareness about the harmful effects of tobacco consumption. The drama effectively highlighted the physical, social, and economic consequences of tobacco addiction and motivated the audience to avoid from tobacco products. The audience appreciated the performance and the important message delivered through the drama.
Theme Introduction
The official theme of World No Tobacco Day was introduced and explained by:

They emphasized the importance of tobacco control and encouraged everyone to contribute towards building a tobacco-free society. They explained the official theme of World No Tobacco Day 2026 and emphasized the importance of tobacco control.
Poster Presentation
Students presented various educational charts and posters related to the harmful effects of tobacco and preventive measures. Through these visual aids, health education was provided to the audience in an easy-to-understand manner.
Health Education by Dr. Jignesh Patel
He explained the adverse effects of tobacco consumption on health. He emphasized the importance of avoiding tobacco products and encouraged participants to adopt healthy lifestyle practices. His valuable guidance helped create awareness among the audience about the need for a tobacco-free life and a healthier future.
