The Nurses Week Celebration was organized by T. & T.V. Institute of Nursing at Ashaktashram Complex, Rampura, Surat, with great enthusiasm and active participation from faculty members and students. The main objective of the celebration was to recognize and appreciate the valuable contribution of nurses in promoting health, preventing diseases, and providing quality patient care.
The program started at 10:00 AM with an introduction about nurses. The speaker explained the important role of nurses in hospitals and communities. The contribution of nurses toward patient care, emotional support, health education, and emergency services was highlighted. Students were encouraged to follow the values of kindness, dedication, and compassion in their professional life.
At 10:15 AM, the program continued with a prayer session. The prayer created a peaceful and positive atmosphere and sought blessings for the success of the celebration and for all healthcare workers serving society.
At 10:20 AM, welcome words were delivered by the organizing team. The respected principal, teachers, guests, and students were warmly welcomed. The importance of Nurses Week celebration was briefly introduced during the welcome speech.
The “Deep Pragtya” ceremony was conducted at 10:25 AM. The lamp lighting ceremony symbolized knowledge, hope, and the spirit of service. Faculty members and guests participated in this ceremony, making the occasion more meaningful and inspiring.
At 10:30 AM, the theme opening session was conducted. The theme of Nurses Week was explained to the audience, focusing on the dedication, commitment, and hard work of nurses in healthcare settings. The session motivated students to understand the dignity and responsibility of the nursing profession.
At 10:35 AM, information about Nurses Week was presented. The history and significance of International Nurses Day and Nurses Week were discussed. Special emphasis was given to the contribution of Florence Nightingale, known as the “Lady with the Lamp,” and her impact on modern nursing practice.
A drama performance was presented by students at 10:45 AM. The drama highlighted the caring role of nurses in patient recovery and emergency situations. Through the performance, students expressed the importance of empathy, communication, teamwork, and patient-centered care. The audience appreciated the performance and message delivered through the drama.
At 11:05 AM, a PPT presentation was conducted. The presentation included information regarding nursing ethics, responsibilities of nurses, advancements in nursing, and the role of nurses during health emergencies. The presentation was informative and increased awareness among students regarding professional nursing values and practices. This program was organized by Ms.Shreya Joshi and Prarthana Macwan under the guidance of Mr. Kiran Sir.
Finally, the celebration concluded with the National Anthem at 11:15 AM. All participants stood together respectfully, marking the successful completion of the event.
