The Oath & Lamp Lighting Ceremony was solemnly organized on 9th January 2026 at T. & T.V. Institute of Nursing, Rampura, Surat. The ceremony marked a significant milestone in the professional journey of nursing students, symbolizing their dedication, commitment, and ethical responsibility towards the nursing profession. The event was conducted with great dignity and enthusiasm and was also covered by the local newspaper, highlighting the institute’s commitment to academic excellence and professional values.

Inaugural Session

The program commenced at 10:00 a.m. in the institute auditorium, which was tastefully decorated with flowers, lamps, and nursing emblems. The dignitaries, faculty members, parents, and students were warmly welcomed. The Principal of the institute inaugurated the ceremony and addressed the gathering, emphasizing the noble nature of the nursing profession and the importance of compassion, discipline, and lifelong learning

Lamp Lighting Ceremony The sacred Lamp Lighting Ceremony was performed by the Principal Mr.Kiran Domadia along with respected faculty members and invited dignitaries. This ritual symbolizes the light of knowledge, service, and dedication inspired by Florence Nightingale, the Lady with the Lamp. The lighting of the lamp marked the formal beginning of the ceremony and signified the students’ readiness to embrace their professional responsibilities with sincerity and devotion.

Following the lamp lighting, the Oath Taking Ceremony was conducted. The students, dressed in neat and professional nursing uniforms, stood together and solemnly took the nursing oath administered by a senior faculty member. Through this oath, the students pledged to uphold the ethical principles of nursing, provide compassionate care to patients, maintain confidentiality, and serve humanity with integrity and respect. This moment was deeply meaningful for students and their families and represented their formal induction into the nursing profession.

Prize Distribution Ceremony

After the oath taking, the Prize Distribution Ceremony was held to recognize and encourage academic excellence among students. Prizes were awarded to the overall first rank holders of various courses for their outstanding academic performance:

4th Year B.Sc. Nursing – Overall 1st Rank

3rd Year GNM – Overall 1st Rank

2nd Year M.Sc. Nursing – Overall 1st Rank

2nd Year P.B.B.Sc. Nursing – Overall 1st Rank

The achievers were honoured with certificates and prizes by the dignitaries and faculty members. The management appreciated their hard work, dedication, and consistency in academics. This recognition motivated other students to strive for excellence in both academics and professional practice.

Guest Address

The chief guest and other dignitaries delivered inspiring speeches, encouraging students to serve society with empathy, patience, and professionalism. They highlighted the vital role nurses play in the healthcare system and emphasized the need for ethical practice, teamwork, and continuous skill development.

Conclusion

The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by a faculty member, expressing gratitude to the management, dignitaries, faculty, students, and parents for their cooperation and support in making the event a grand success. The ceremony ended with the National Anthem, leaving the audience inspired and proud.
