TIME : 9 A.M. TO 1 P.M.

Research forms the backbone of professional nursing practice and evidence-based care. A sound understanding of research methodology, especially sampling techniques, is essential for conducting valid and reliable nursing research. With this perspective, a Research Seminar Programme was organized by M.Sc. Nursing 1st Year and 2nd Year students for 3rd year GNM, 1st year P.B.B.sc and 2nd year P.B.B.sc students to enhance their theoretical knowledge and practical understanding of sampling techniques used in nursing research.

OBJECTIVES OF SEMINAR:

  1. To introduce the concept and importance of sampling in research.
  2. To enhance knowledge regarding various sampling techniques.
  3. To develop understanding of probability and non-probability sampling methods.
  4. To help students apply appropriate sampling techniques in nursing research studies.
  5. To promote research-oriented thinking among postgraduate nursing students.

LAMP LIGHTING & DEEP PYAGATYA

The Research Seminar Programme commenced with a traditional lamp lighting ceremony, symbolizing the dispelling of ignorance and the spread of knowledge. The lamp was lighted by our respected Principal, Mr. Kiran Domadia Sir, Vice Principal, Mr. Jimmy James Mogaria Sir, along with Heads of Departments and senior faculty members

The speaker explained:

  • Meaning and definition of sampling
  • Importance of sampling in research
  • Need for sampling in nursing research
  • General classification of sampling techniques

ICE BREAKING SESSION

Between the two academic sessions, an ice-breaking session was organized to refresh and energize the participants.
