REPORT ON XXII BIENNIAL STATE SNAI CONFERENCE
The XXII Biennial State Conference of the Student Nurses Association of India (SNAI), hosted under the umbrella of the Trained Nurses’ Association of India (TNAI), Gujarat Branch, was held with grandeur on the 17th and 18th of July at BRG Hotel, Statue of Unity (SOU), Ektanagar. This two-day event was organized around the theme “Lead the Change: Student Nurses as Trailblazers in Healthcare”, a message that resonated throughout every session, competition, and performance. Ms. Chelsea Parmar from our college was the state SNAI Chairperson, and hence she played a vital role in orgnaising the conference along with the host branch and TNAI. The conference was graced by 21 dignitaries, including Members of Legislative Assembly (MLAs), and esteemed representatives from the Indian Nursing Council (INC), Gujarat Nursing Council (GNC), and TNAI. These respected leaders inspired the attendees with their presence and motivating speeches.

The inaugural session was marked by a solemn lamp lighting ceremony, followed by the felicitation of guests, a formal welcome, and the unfolding of the conference theme. The speakers emphasized the importance of leadership in nursing, innovation in care, and the evolving role of student nurses in transforming health systems at grassroots levels.
Throughout the conference, students participated in a variety of academic, cultural, and athletic events, showcasing not only their clinical aptitude but also their communication skills, physical fitness, stage presence, and creativity.
From the T. & T.V. Institute of Nursing, several students actively participated and brought pride to the institution. In the skit competition, Heli Brambhatt, a student of 7th semester BSc Nursing, gave a heart-touching performance based on the Pahalgam Incident, delivering a strong emotional message through dramatics. Her performance was widely applauded and was awarded Second Prize, along with selection for the National Level, a tremendous achievement for both her and our college.
In the group dance competition, our team performed a powerful piece inspired by Halloween, symbolizing the triumph of Goddess Kaali over darkness. The choreography, rooted in spiritual symbolism and energetic expression, captured the audience’s imagination. This dance conveyed the message that nurses, like Kaali, are warriors who dispel darkness—be it illness, fear, or ignorance.
Our institute also participated in the extempore competition, where students confidently addressed spontaneous healthcare topics, demonstrating quick thinking, strong communication, and in-depth understanding of current nursing challenges. Chelsea Parmar, from 7th sem BSc Nursing secured the first prize and is selected for nationals. The presence of our participants in this event highlighted our focus not just on knowledge but on leadership articulation and awareness.
In the scientific paper presentation, Chelsea Parmar, from 7th sem BSc Nursing from our college presented well-researched studies focused on peer mentorship. Their efforts in research and data analysis demonstrated a strong commitment to evidence-based practice and academic excellence. These presentations reflected our students’ ability to contribute meaningfully to professional discussions in nursing science.
Additionally, the conference held various sports activities that added an exciting physical dimension to the event. Students from our college took part enthusiastically, promoting values of team spirit, fitness, and friendly competition. Whether it was track events or group games, our students displayed great zeal and discipline, further reinforcing the importance of holistic development in nursing education.
Among the other notable participants from our institute were Kapil (5th Semester BSc Nursing) and Krupeksha (7th Semester BSc Nursing), who represented our college with dedication, talent, and team spirit. Their involvement in both cultural and academic segments added value to our overall presence at the conference.
In total, the event hosted 22 competitive entries across various categories from nursing colleges all over Gujarat. The conference was not only a platform for competition but also a vibrant exchange of ideas, experiences, and inspiration. Students interacted with their peers, mentors, and professionals, building confidence, expanding perspectives, and forging new connections.
In Poster competition there were eight categories, and 16 students from our college participated, and out of 8, 5 categories, we secured the first prize and were all selected for nationals, and 2 categories won the second prize.
The SNAI dairy was prepared by Ms. Prachita Patel and her team, which won the first prize and the SNAI diary is selected for national level.
Moreover, our college won the prize for most participants in the entire conference, and highest trophy bearers in the entire conference. Our all students made the college proud and gave their best.
The Valedictory session was anchored by Ms. Chelsea Parmar, and there were 4 guests, which were:

We left the BRG hotel, on 19th around 9:30 AM and reached Surat around 2:20 PM. We were three buses in total.
In conclusion, the XXII SNAI Biennial Conference was a landmark event that celebrated not just nursing education, but the very soul of student life—creativity, knowledge, leadership, and teamwork. The students of T. & T.V. Institute of Nursing made a strong mark in every area—from academic presentations to cultural performances, impromptu speaking to athletics—truly living the theme of being trailblazers in healthcare. Events like these remind us that the future of nursing is not only in safe hands—it is in brilliant, determined, and compassionate hands ready to lead the change.
