On the date of 30th January, 2026 we have organized Awareness programme on regarding reproductive health and common issues. Under the organization of T&T.V. Institute Of nursing In Collaboration With Surat Obstetrics & Gynecological Society (SOGS). The main aim is this programme “The right age for marriage based on physical, emotional, and reproductive readiness. The impact of delayed marriage and conception on maternal and child health. Impact of age on sperm and oocyte quality. The increasing risk of complications in pregnancy, including gestational diabetes, hypertension, miscarriage, and preterm birth with advanced maternal age.”
The programme was started at 3.00. P.M. In programme cheif guest were Dr. Sandhya Chhasatia and speaker were Dr. Noopur Chhasatia, principal sir vice – principal sir, all teaching and non- teaching faculties and all students were present.
Programme was hosted by Ms. Shreya Joshi lecturer T & T.V. Institute of nursing. In the first of all programme was started with lighting the lamp and after that prayer sung by Mr. Kapil and his group (6 sem. B.Sc. nursing). After that Ms. Swati Gamit Asso. Professor T&T.V. Institute Of nursing she introduces our chief guest Dr. Sandhya Chhasatia mam (M.D., D.G.O., F.I.C.O.G.) Sandhya Hospital, Surat, Gujarat. Dr. Sandhya Chhasatia given her speech regarding how age environment, diet, obesity, bad habit affecting for conceiving pregnancy and also affecting reproductive health and causing issues. After her speech Ms. Swati Gamit introduce speaker our Dr. Noopur Chhasatia, Obstetrician & Gynecologist, Fertility & Fetal Medicine specialist and members, Surat Obstetrician Society (SOGS).
After completion of introduction session Dr. Noopur Chhasatia mam started her session in that she explained aims of the session with mission of the programme to create awareness that reproductive health is not just about fertility, but lifelong wellbeing. To encourage timely and conscious decisions regarding marriage and childbearing, with complete understanding of the biological clock. To replace myths with facts, stigma with confidence, and hesitation with awareness. To reduce the burden of infertility, complications in pregnancy, and maternal mortality by spreading knowledge early. After that introduce female reproductive organ, hormonal secretion and menstrual cycle. For women, the most biologically ideal age for pregnancy is between 20 and 30 years and in men, fertility and physical strength are generally strongest between 25 and 35 years. She also explains about declining oocyte/follicle pool & the Reproductive events. Genetic background, Ethnicity and ancestry, Smoking and lifestyle habits, Nutrition and BMI, Chronic illnesses and treatments (chemo, radiation), Reproductive history and contraceptive use affecting age of Menopause. And also guided how maternal age and fetal, neonatal problems for example Chromosomal Abnormalities-Aneuploidy, Congenital heart disease, Premature birth, Fetal growth restriction and low birth weight, Neonatal mortality and morbidity, autism spectrum disorder.
She also provided information related to factors affecting sperm quality and Environmental pollution has emerged as a major cause for the rising trend of male infertility in today’s era all over the world due to the universal presence of environmental contaminants. Certain air pollutants, such as lead and copper, disrupt the function of glands in the human organism, which has a negative impact on sperm production. At the end explained about PCOS and its management. Student asked question and given valuable feedback for complete session.
The session was end with speech given by principal sir and vote of thanks speech given by Ms. Jinal Pandya mam Ass. Professor T&T.V. Institute Of nursing and at last all sung national anthem.
At the end session was successfully completed under the guidance of Principal sir Mr. Kiran Domadiya sir, Vice – Principal sir Mr. Jimmy James Mogaria, organizing committee OBG Ms.Jetal Patel Ass. Professor, Ms. Jinal Pandya Ass. Professor, Ms. Vilas Ahir Lecturer, Ms. Disha Shah Lecturer, Ms. Shreya Joshi Lecturer and other faculties members
