As part of Requirements of Nursing Education/ Educational Technology, The exhibition program was organized by the 5th Semester B.Sc nursing, Post basic B. Sc Nursing students, under the guidance of Mr. Kiran Domadia, Principal of T& T.V. Institute of Nursing , Mr. Jimmy James Mogaria Vice Principal , Ms. Jinal Pandya, Ms. Hetal Damor, & Ms. Hetali Patel. They displayed various categories of AV aids including Projected and Non Projected Aids, such as charts, flash cards, posters, models and brochures, flip chart, Graphs, Leaflets, Flyer, OHP, Puppets, Cutouts, Cartoons Film Strips, Bulletin Board, Flannel Board, Chalk board Role Play and various electric media etc. Through this exhibition the students came to know about the preparation and usage guidelines of different AV aids.
Venue
The program was conducted at T & T.V. Institute of Nursing, Rampura, Surat. Different stalls were arranged where students displayed their AV aids and explained the topics to visitors. The Inauguration program started with ribbon-cutting ceremony, & Unfolding the Theme of A.V AID Exhibition by Our trusty Mr. Haresh Mehta & Mr. Anal Marchant along with our Principal sir Mr. Kiran Domadia, Vice Principal Mr. Jimmy James Mogaria with all faculty members. Principal sir also spoke about how important audio-visual aids are in nursing education. He said, “Using AV aids makes learning more interesting and helps to share health information with patients and the community in a clear and simple way.” He praised the students for their hard work and creativity.
Theme
The theme of the program was ‘Audio Visual Aids Exhibition’, highlighting the importance of visual materials in teaching.
Aim
The main aim of the exhibition was to encourage new ideas, improve teaching skills, and promote modern ways of learning among nursing students.
Purpose
• To improve presentation and communication skills
• To encourage creativity in preparing educational materials
• To demonstrate effective teaching methods used in nursing education
• To promote better patient and community health education
Drama Highlights
Scene 1 – Teaching without AV aids.
Scene 2 – Teaching using charts and diagrams.
Scene 3 – Students discuss the importance of AV aids.
Puppet Show – Based on how to use puppet at various settings
Audience
Students from B.sc Nursing (1st, 2nd, 3rd and 6th semester) and GNM (1st, 2nd and 3rd year) attended the exhibition along with faculty members.
Impact
The exhibition saw active participation from teachers, students from different batches, and special guests. Everyone appreciated the students’ efforts and gave positive feedback on their work. The exhibition improved creativity, teamwork, confidence and understanding of teaching methods among students.
Conclusion
The A.V. Aids Exhibition proved to be an enriching and interactive learning experience, showcasing the creativity, knowledge, and skills of the participants. It highlighted the importance of audio-visual aids as powerful tools to enhance teaching, improve understanding, and make learning more engaging. Through the display of various innovative aids, students not only demonstrated their subject knowledge but also developed confidence, teamwork, and presentation skills.
Overall, the exhibition successfully met its objective of promoting effective teaching methodologies and inspiring participants to integrate A.V. aids into educational practices for better learning outcomes. It was a valuable platform for exchanging ideas, fostering innovation, and encouraging continuous improvement in the teaching-learning process. The AV Aids Exhibition was informative and demonstrated the value of audio‑visual materials in nursing education.
