On the 21st of June, T.& T.V. Institute of Nursing celebrated International Yoga Day with vibrant Rangoli and Mehndi competitions. Although no yoga session was held, the day was filled with creativity and cultural expression, fostering a sense of unity and community among students.

Rangoli Competition:

The Rangoli competition saw enthusiastic participation from students of all grades. Rangoli, a traditional Indian art form, involves creating intricate and colorful patterns on the ground using colored powders. The theme for this year’s Rangoli was “Yoga,” reflecting the effect of yoga on health and lifestyle.

Participants worked in teams to bring their designs to life, showcasing a variety of patterns from traditional geometric shapes to modern artistic expressions. The vibrant designs not only adorned the grounds but also highlighted the rich cultural heritage and creativity of our students.

Mehndi Competition:

Simultaneously, a Mehndi (henna) competition was held, where students displayed their talent in applying intricate henna designs on their hands and arms. The theme for the Mehndi designs was “Yoga,” encouraging participants to draw inspiration from yoga and how its show effect on health and lifestyle.

The students showcased remarkable skill and creativity, with designs ranging from traditional floral and paisley motifs to innovative modern patterns. The application of Mehndi, a cultural art form associated with celebration and festivity, provided a platform for students to explore and express their artistic talents.

Judging and Awards:

The competitions were judged by a panel of experts, including Ms. Ekta Pandya, Ms. Sonal Vaghela, Ms. Chitra Kanthariya and Ms. Jagruti Patel, who evaluated the entries based on creativity, adherence to the theme, and technical skill.

Rangoli Compition:

1st Rank: Ms. Prachita Patel, Ms. Kashish Navagamiya and Ms. Ridhhi Patel’s Group

2nd Rank:  Ms. Krisha patel ,Ms. Yashika Patel and Ms. Kashish Chauhan’s group and Ms.Prapti  Bhrambhatt , Ms. Hetvi Joshi ,Ms. Khushi Vaghani’s group

Mehndi Compition:

1st Rank: Ms. Dhruvi Patel

2nd Rank:Ms.Neha singh

 The winners and participants were awarded achievement certificates provided by our principal sir Mr. Kiran Domadia Sir.

Conclusion:

The Rangoli and Mehndi competitions were a tremendous success, bringing together students and staff in a celebration of creativity, culture, and community spirit. The event underscored the importance of cultural heritage and provided a platform for students to express their artistic abilities and teamwork.
