WORLD BREASTFEEDING WEEK-2022: “STEP UP FOR BREASTFEEDING , EDUCATE AND SUPPORT”
Every year 1st -7th august is celebrated as World breast feeding week. This year World breast feeding week -22 theme is “step up for breastfeeding, educate and support.”
From our institute 30 students took part in poster making competition as part of breastfeeding week celebration. which is Organized by surat pediatric association charitable trust in association with simmer hospital and SMS.in poster making competition 1st rank awarded to Vaghela Dinkal from 1st P.B.B.Sc. Nursing student and 2nd rank awarded to Ms. Riya Patel from 4th year B.Sc. Nursing.
As a Part of Breastfeeding week-2022 Surat pediatric association charitable trust organized Quiz competition on importance and advantages of breastfeeding on 1st august,2022 at Government medical college, Surat. in which approx. 100 students took participated In Quiz Competition from different nursing colleges of Surat city. from which T & T.V. institute of nursing students awarded 1st rank to Ms. Amisha patel and 3rd rank awarded to Ms. Sanjivini Gamit from 1st P.B.BSc. students.
T & T.V. Institute of Nursing held health awareness session on breast feeding on 3rd august ,2022 in postnatal ward of simmer hospital. For that in postnatal ward and OPD area Approx 150 breast feeding awareness flyer distributed to breast feeding mother ,antenatal mothers and their relatives. after that health awareness session was conducted by 1st year P.B.Bsc students on breast feeding with the help of poster exhibition and flyer among postnatal mother of simmer hospital. There were total 26 numbers of charts were exhibited regarding theme of breast feed, Colostrum, position of breast feeding, benefits of breast feeding.at the end the health awareness session was ended by question-answer session of mother. And mother understood about importance of colostrum, sign of latching, different position of breast feeding and advantages of breast feeding.
The programme co-ordinator was Ms. Gopika patel and assisted by Ms.Shweta patel , Ms. Sonal Vaghela & Ms.Heena Patel.
